Ladies, here's How to Spot a Fake Big Boy, Especially in Abuja

We are going to put the spotlight on fake Abuja big boys, FABBs. These guys are always well-dressed with flashy cars. Some of them are even from rich homes. You see them looking like a bag of money, meanwhile nothing in their bank accounts. There is nothing wrong with looking good and not having money to back it up. There is only something wrong when you are doing it for packaging.
"They use fake accent, Only Date Working Class Ladies, drive flashy cars and they Spontaneously Propose to girls." Read the full details of the fake big boys below:

1. Always with the fake accent:
Apparently, this is not exclusive to the babes. The male FABBs use all the accents in the world; British, American and Nigerian accent all muddled up in one. If they are talking to a babe who probably lived in the UK with a British accent, their accent automatically changes just to impress. Please, embrace your Nigerian accent, whether it is an Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa accent, be proud of it. You don't see an American man trying to talk like a Nigerian.

2. He only dates working girls:
This is a highly defining character of the male FABB. They do not date jobless babes. If you don't have a J -O -B, then it's onto the next one. They do not want to be bothered about taking care of a babe who's probably still in school or sharing CV about. That is not in their dictionary of potential girlfriends.

3. He drives the flashiest of flashy cars:
Warning: Don't be deceived, the car belongs to their father or uncle.

4. He always has a political connection:
A typical Abuja boy is always related to some politician or influential person. The politicians are always their uncle but hardly ever their father. Sometimes, it could even be a politician they have met once- he becomes their uncle.

5. He is a mummy's boy:
Most of the rich male FABBs live off the wealth of their family who still pay for everything they own. If you know a guy who lives in a very expensive duplex in Maitama but does not have a regular job, check that guy! They probably even get monthly allowance from their parents every month as grown men. Hey, not judging, you do you.

6. He immediately introduces you to his family/friends:
Imagine you meet this nice looking guy in Abuja, and before you know it, he has introduced you to his family and friends. In your mind, you are thinking that you are an iyawo (wife in the Yoruba language), not knowing you are girlfriend no. 9.

7. He spontaneously proposes to you after a short period of dating:
They tell you that you are a wife material or even propose marriage so they can be living off their new working class babe. You would cook, clean and before you know it, you have turned to their provider. Their food, shelter, and clothing would be taken care of by the working class babe. They start with "Please, borrow me N10, 000, I would pay you back." Next time, it's N20, 000 and then it keeps increasing. Of course, the babe will never get her money back. If you are guilty of this, it's not good o! It should be a joint effort.

8. He only remembers his babe on Thursdays:
This is the time to remember all the hook-ups they have forgotten from Monday to Wednesday. They need to get a babe to turn up with during the weekend. If Halima doesn't respond, Salewa will. After all there are many fishes in the sea.

9. He doesn't have a proper job:
This is not referring to the guys who genuinely work/hustle for their money from Monday to Friday to make ends meet. Thumbs up! This is for the guys who claim they work during the week but people still cannot point a finger on what they do. On Friday, they would be the first to update their status with: "Turn up weekend, TGIF".

10. He's always the first to pop bottles in the club:
They are always the first to order bottles just to impress. When it's time to pay, they would remember they have to go to the bathroom. It's not by force to pop champagne. After popping and being forced to pay, they come home to eat noodles. Bear in mind that the money would have bought you a nice plate of jollof rice and a big fat chicken.

So, there you have the Fake Abuja Big Boy, FABB away.

Boko Haram: Prove To Us That You Are Not A Weak President,Bishop Wale Oke Challenges Jonathan

Bishop Francis Wale Oke has said President Goodluck Jonathan should prove to Nigerians that they do not have a weakling as leader by dealing decisively with the Islamic sect, Boko Haram for declaring a caliphate in Gwoza.

Presiding Bishop of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Oke said it was surprising that since the insurgents hoisted their illegal flag in Gwoza, the FG had not taken any swift reaction in dealing with the situation and to make matters worse, about 480 soldiers defected to another place.

Oke warned that FG should go with all its might to stop the insurgents, pointing out that Boko Haram was following the scripts of Islamic State in Iraq and that holding arms akimbo after such a treasonable declaration would be very antithetical to the unity and oneness of the country.

Bishop Wale Oke further explained the refusal of some military men to confront the insurgents meant that they were ill-equipped.

He stressed that the military should not be blamed at all for the actions of the soldiers but should put the blame at the doorstep of the authorities adding that the incident was a big shame to our military and the nation.

"That some Islamic insurgents would be beheading Christians, take over 300 girls hostage, take over our churches and desecrate the sanctuary of God is totally unacceptable. You begin to ask the question, do we have the government in place? The government should show to us that he is capable of handling the situation", he said.

The cleric, who was speaking ahead of the Holy Ghost convention of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, which begins on Sunday, stated that Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Matthew Ashimolowo and other men of God would be at the convention to pray for the country so that God could smile on us again.

"The activities of the sect have shown that church is the primary target and as one of the leaders in Christianity, we say no. Federal government should protect all its citizens especially the Christians who are being beheaded on daily basis by the hoodlums.

"If we, Christians are not posing any threat to the nation, then we deserve to be protected. For more than 48 hours, they had declared a caliphate and seized a portion of the entity called Nigeria and we are yet to hear any swift reaction from the government. This is very amazing," he said.

Boko Haram Has Turned Police College to their Training Camp

Today, millions of Nigerians are at the mercy of Boko Haram and it is becoming clearer that our security agencies might not be equal to the task, in terms of fire-power, OluFamous.Com observed.

Hope you guys remember that Boko Haram stormed and took over a Nigeria Police College recently? Well, the sad update is that the terrorists have converted the place into the base of the terrorist group and they are conducting their training there, with impunity. Oh dear, this is a big shame!

Director of Catholic Social Communications, Maiduguri Diocese of the Catholic Church, Gideon Obasogie, who made this socking revelation to Punch on Friday, said:
"I am sad, really sad to my bone marrows about this ugly development. The world must know the truth; people were captured and taken to the police training ground for serious training as combatants. It is now one of their strongest bases. The missing policemen have joined the Boko Haram instructors. The guys are multiplying in number, weaponry and geographical expansion."

When asked how he got the knowledge of happenings in the captured police college, Obasogie revealed that he was briefed by a member of his church who was one of the policemen being held captive at the college by the group, but had managed to escape through the hills into Yola, Adamawa State.

The college is a riot police academy in Liman Kara, on the outskirts of Gwoza, a hilly town in Borno State, North-East Nigeria. It is one of only two riot police training colleges in Nigeria.

Boko Haram had on Wednesday, August 21, 2014 attacked the Police Academy, Gwoza, Borno State, and seized not less than 200 assault rifles from the riot policemen on training.

Investigations revealed the insurgents did not encounter any strong resistance from the police personnel as the riot policemen were directed to keep all their guns at the armoury of the academy before Boko Haram attacked the academy and captured the armoury.

Tambuwal & Fashola Presidential Ticket will Crush PDP in 2015

The Deputy Chairman of the House of Reps Committee on Finance, Yomi Ogunnusi, has said if the APC can present strong candidates for the Presidency in 2015, it will defeat President Goodluck Jonathan who is most likely set to seek re-election.

Hon. Ogunnusi, who represents Ifako/Ijaye Constituency, said the APC would do well at the poll next year if it presented the Speaker of the House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal as its presidential candidate and the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, as his running mate.

In fact, Tambuwal and Fashola is a winning ticket for millions of Nigerians.
He said, "This is my personal opinion. If we have Tambuwal as President and Fashola as Vice-President, Jonathan will be out immediately it is announced. I think that is what the youth want. If you want a change in this country, let them put Tambuwal and Fashola. Nigeria will change and in fact, the stock exchange will increase that same day it is announced. It will give people a relief.
"Because these are humane people, people who have a human heart. For the first time in Nigeria, a young man led the House of Representatives for four years without inhibition or conflict. And this young man knows the names of all the lawmakers up to their constituencies. And Fashola, all over the world has been rated as a performer and you can see the way he works.

Tambuwal, who is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party is rumoured to be finalising plans to defect to the APC so as to be able to actualise his dream of becoming president in 2015.

The lawmaker said this during an interview with Punch on Thursday. Ogunnusi described Gov Fashola as a hardworking governor who was generally loved for his accomplishments and also described Tambuwal as a "humble leader."

He added, "You can even see in him that he has dedicated most of his life to the survival of the state. If he (Fashola) agrees, Nigeria would benefit. Both of them are saleable products and they are patriotic. For former Governor Bola Tinubu, let him be the leader of the Yoruba like Obafemi Awolowo; and let Muhammadu Buhari be the northern leader."

Did You Know? Female Billionaire Folorunsho Alakija Never Went To University

She is the richest woman in Nigeria and one of the richest in Africa. Folorunsho Alakija, chairman of Famfa Oil, has finally opened up that she never went to a university, and she quickly added that you do not need a university education before you can make it big in life.
In her words: "I come from Ikorodu, Lagos state. I am married to a dashing young lawyer of 70 years of age and we have four grown up gentlemen and grandchildren. It has not been a rag to riches fairytale. It has not been an overnight phenomenon like some cases which you find here and there all over the world. For as long as I can remember, I had always wanted my own business. Hard work - am trying to tell you how I got to where I am if you want those billions - hard work, diligence, persistence... Days where I nearly gave up but I chose not to give up...

It would have been easy to compromise but I chose not to and I stayed focus. I could have stayed a secretary as my father desired according to his plan for me but I had bigger aspirations. I dreamt big. God strengthened me and gave me wisdom. I had a passion and burning desire to succeed. Being a secretary, a banker, a fashion icon, a cooperate promoter and printer, a real estate owner, an oil magnate, that I can assure you was no easy feat...

Firm belief that what is worth doing is what doing well or not doing at all. I took charge of my life with the tools I have shared with you. I chose to become born again at the age of 40. I chose to make a covenant with God that if he would bless me I would work for him all the days of my life.

I chose to hold on to the cross and look up to him every step of the way. Today additional accomplishment includes a wife of almost 40 years, a mother, grandmother, ministry, counseling, outreach, NGO Rose of Sharon Foundation for widows and Author, writer, author of several inspirational books. All I say to the glory of God.

So I am 63 and I am not yet done. So what is your excuse? I never went to a University and I am proud to say so because I don't think I have done too badly. You do not have to have a University education to be able to make it, so count yourselves privileged to have that education as part of the feather in your cap."

- Mrs Alakija said this to students of UNILAG during the 2014 UNInternational Youths Day in Lagos.

EXCLUSIVE: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Wife Files For Divorce Bcos He Had Another Woman

Nothing hides forever. May God forgive me, but I have said it here before that Pastor should come open and tell us if marrying More Than One Wife is ACTUALLY a SIN.

I observed that many men who claim to have one wife are enjoying other ladies outside their home. Is that good?

The dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase, TheCable can report. The wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of "unreasonable behaviour" and "adul-tery".

She outlined several allegations against the pastor which TheCable cannot publish yet for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita's behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors.

Efforts to reconcile the popular couple, whose church is one of the biggest denominations in Nigeria and has branches all over world, have failed...

They have two teenage daughters, Sharon and Charlyn. Pastor Oyakhilome is the president of Believers' Love World Inc, the registered name of the Christian ministry, while his wife is the vice-president. The pastor, according to an elder of the church, has denied allegations of adul-tery and believes his wife is being influenced by "bad friends" who are intent on destroying their home.

While Anita believes she has been relegated in the scheme of things in the church, her husband has reportedly accused her of trying to usurp power and authority above her seniors in the ministry. Sources told TheCable that the pastor had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hope that the wife would eventually have a change of mind.

However, TheCable can also report that the decree nissi was served on the charismatic pastor in his hotel room during a recent visit to the UK. Decree nissi, in legal terms, is like a yellow card in a football match which is a precursor to a red card ("decree absolute") if no new evidence is provided to stall proceedings. Church insiders said Oyakhilome had been hoping for rapprochement, but he was left with no option than to receive the papers when the lawyers cornered him at his hotel in London. The decree absolute, which will effectively end the marriage, is expected to be issued soon while terms of the divorce will be worked out by the lawyers on both sides.

TheCable learnt Anita recently wanted to go public with the details of her allegations against the husband but reached an informal agreement to sheathe her sword in the interest of the church. Oyakhilome is regarded as one of the richest and most influential pastors in Nigeria, and co-authors the fast-selling Christian daily devotional, Rhapsody of Realities, with the wife.

However, following the strain in the marriage, the wife had been complaining to friends that her husband had stopped the payment of royalties due her from the devotional. "She complained of being deliberately starved of funds, perhaps to bring her to her knees in the belief that she would eventually return to her matrimonial home and mend things," a church member told TheCable in the UK.

A wealthy Zimbabwean businessman, who is into telecoms, is one of the biggest financiers of the London branch of the church which Anita pastors along with other branches in Europe. When the crisis got to a head, the Zimbabwean stopped funding the church ─ some said in solidarity with Oyakhilome, his close friend and neighbour in Johannesburg, South Africa. However, Oyakhilome was said to have been shocked when the wife announced at a fundraiser that she was sowing a "seed" (donation) of $1 million ─ despite her assumed lack of access to funds.

Matters got to a head on Sunday, July 13, 2014, when some relatives of Anita locked up the London branch of the church to protest against the "humiliation" being meted out to their sister ─ who had not overseen services at the branch since November 2013. Some church members had sometime in May 10, 2014 launched facebook campaign, asking: "Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome?" They said Pastor Chris and Rev. Anita must unite "for the sake of the gospel, the church and their two beautiful daughters". They quoted Malachi 2:16 in the Message Bible: "I hate divorce, says the God of Israel." The facebook page, which has over 3,300 "likes", was opened with a stated mission: "This is a Call to Prayer for all believers who understand God's heart concerning marriage and a Call to Action by Pst. Chris. #DoWhatYouPreach".

Back then, officials of the church quickly moved to deny any rift between the pastor couple:
One official, Kenneth Achumasara, told the media last June: "I can tell you authoritatively that there is no issue between Pastor Chris and his wife, Anita… If you go to the UK now you will see her along with the kids. She is still with him and there is no issue between them. I have been with him for 22 years and the Pastor Chris I know cannot even utter such words as reported. He will never address such a gathering. She will soon be in Nigeria for a programme and I will definitely invite you to have access to her."

The big question now is, who is the other woman? We are watching as events unfold...

Learn from what Happened in My Past Marriage –Saidi Balogun

Popular actor and movie producer, Saidi Balogun, is unhappy and the reason is connected to piracy that has hit his business. It is said that pirates have dubbed several copies of his new movie, You or I, despite recent campaigns against piracy in the country.

Although he shied away from talking about his failed marriage, he stated that it was not a coincidence that his last two movies centered on marriage. He said some of the people who had seen the movies assumed that he was using them to address some issues in his last marriage.
Saidi Balogun said: "I hate talking about my past marriage, but it is true that my recent movies speak about marriages. I cannot say if the movies are about my past marriage but people would be able to deduce when they watch the film. The first movie, Modupe Temi, shows how gossip breaks a home and the other, You or I, asks which race is suitable to have as a wife between the white and black. If you say I am talking about my past marriage, fine, all I want is the audience to learn from my movie.
"Possibly, the Lord is using me as an example to tell a story. Although, before the marriage all these stories have been there but God is the greatest producer. He creates all things but whatever people want to say they should say. All I want is for people to learn from my stories. If you say I am a living example to what I wrote, fine, I accept but I would ask people to please buy an original copy, watch and learn regardless who they think the story is about."

Most of those Fighting Me are People I've given Billions of Naira —Amaechi Opens Up

Chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum and Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi on Wednesday explained why he was the target of attacks from some politicians within and outside the state.

Almost 80 per cent of those fighting him are are people he gave billions of naira in contracts and they have put the money in their pockets, they did not deliver and they claim they are Ikwerre people.
In the words of Amaechi: "Most of the people opposed to me are in the rank of those I assisted one way or another, some by contract awards but they failed to deliver. If you check Obio/Akpor council, you will see how many persons that have grown through me.
"I have said that the road at Eneka was given to an Obio/Akpor son. The internal road at Rumuolumeni was given to a Rumuolumeni son. They gave it to one of Obio/Akpor's sons to do. They have not done it. They have no fear, no shame.
"You know, the worst money to steal is the money belonging to your people. For me, go and check Ubima Road, as an ordinary Special Assistant to Chief Rufus George, the money he brought, we did the Ubima Road and when I became Speaker, I got Dr. Peter Odili to do the road and the road lasted until I became governor.
"I did not touch Ubima money. I did not say 'I want to be a big man, contractor, give me N40 million first'. The first road to Ubima (my home town) was N40 million, one kobo I did not see.
"All the roads in Rumuepirikom (Nyesom Wike's community) were done by this administration. I gave the contracts to your son and paid hundred percent. But almost all the roads there have gone bad and they are not major traffic route. It is because of greed.

"As an Ikwerre man, what else can I do? Please tell me what else do you want me to do that I have not done? I just did not do the road, I gave it to Ikwerre people to do. If you are not a good contractor, you look for a good contractor to do for you, is it not? Now, you are not a good contractor, you don't want to hire a good contractor, you just buy one pay loader and you begin to scratch the ground."

Governor Amaechi made the revelations while speaking at a meet-the-people tour of communities in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

He thanked the people of Oro-Igwe for the opportunity of meeting with them and urged them to beware of those who would be dishonest or betray people for selfish reasons.

I Can Never Reconcile with My Ex-Wife Fathia ––Saidi Balogun

There has been rumours that since the estranged couple managed to work together in a movie, there is a possibility that they would reconcile and start living as husband and wife for the sake of their kids.

But Saidi Balogun dropped the bombshell in a chat with Encomium, declaring that he was not ready to reconcile with his ex-wife, Fathia, and as a matter of fact, they will never talk again for life.

The popular actor is angry, he said he and Fathia have not communicated in over 8 years:
"People don't understand what's really going on between us. I believe that's why they are peddling the rumour. There is no logic in it at all.
"I think it's because they saw us in Mercy Aigbe's new movie, Life After Marriage, that's why they imagined we're back in love. The marketer of the movie only used Fathia and myself to promote the movie. And so far people saw the two of us in the movie, they started peddling the rumour that the movie was meant to reconcile us.
"The funniest thing is that we didn't act together on the set of the movie. We didn't even see each other for once. I acted my role separately, she also did hers separately. Our paths didn't cross at all...
"On the set of Life After Marriage till the production ended. So, I don't know how people arrived at the conclusion that we have reconciled. After how many years? That's a big joke."
Asked if they have started communicating with each other as being bandied, he reacted,

"There is nothing like that, my brother. On what basis will that communication be? To be honest, the last time we spoke was 2006. I have since moved on. I thank God for that. We don't have any reason to talk to each other. It can't happen at all."

You may wish to know that the couple had two children, Khalid and Halia, before breaking up.

Boko Haram: Military under Fire over Poor condition of Soldiers

The last few days have been very tough for the military, as critics all over have subjected the leadership to a barrage of criticism over what has been happening in the counter-insurgency operation.

It was the BBC that first came in with a report of alleged mutiny when a faceless 'soldier' lamented the problems the troops were allegedly facing in the war, but the military disowned the 'soldier'.

Then came the reports that 480 troops had been arrested in Cameroun after escaped from the 'superior' fire power of the terrorists but again the military claimed it was a mere tactical retreat.

According to reports, the troops clashed with terrorists in the border town of Gamborou Ngala which led to a fierce fighting and this allegedly forced the troops to run to the neighbouring country.

"The Nigerian troops that were found in Cameroun was as a result of a sustained battle between the troops and the terrorists around the borders with Cameroun which saw the Nigerian troops charging through the borders in a tactical maneuver. Eventually they found themselves on Camerounian soil. Being allies the normal protocol of managing such incident demanded that the troops submit their weapons in order to assure the friendly country that they were not on a hostile mission.

"Following necessary discussions between Nigerian and Camerounian military authorities, the issues have been sorted out. Subsequently, the troops are on their way back to join their unit in Nigeria.

"The reference to the incidence as a defection is therefore not appropriate considering the discussion between the two countries' military leadership and the series of contacts with the soldiers who have confirmed that they are safe," the Defence Headquarters explained.

The Defence Headquarters has confirmed that troops who returned from Cameroon were today addressed by the General Officer Commanding 3 Division, Major General Zaruwa as they embark on another mission in the Counter Terrorism campaign.

According to the military, "All the soldiers are in high spirit with all their weapons and equipment intact".

Meanwhile, according to Leadership, the All Progressives Congress has described as an unprecedented national embarrassment the increasing seizure of Nigerian towns by the terrorist group Boko Haram and the reported fleeing of 480 Nigerian soldiers to Cameroon during an attack on a military base in Gamboru-Ngala on Monday.

"There is no way to spin what happened on Monday, when 480 Nigerian soldiers escaped to Cameroon. The Ministry of Defence called it 'tactical manoeuvre', but did not explain how soldiers fighting insurgents along Nigeria's border with Cameroon will foray 80 kilometres into Cameroon! Also, if the Nigerian troops' foray into Cameroon was in the spirit of the cooperation between the two countries in the fight against the terrorists, as some spin doctors have said, why were the Nigerian soldiers disarmed and then herded into schools in Maroua, 80kms from the Nigerian border?"

Buhari Finally Set To Declare For 2015 Presidential Race

2015 politics has started taking shape and Gen Muhammadu Buhari is set to declare for the presidential race within the next few days as he rounds off his nationwide consultations, his political aide reveals.

The former head of state and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not new in the race as he has been consistently contesting for the presidency since 2003 when he ran against the then president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo under the platform of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP).

Buhari also contested in 2007 and in 2011 against late Umaru Yar'Adua and Pres. Goodluck Jonathan in keenly contested elections.

With the merger of the leading opposition parties that gave birth to the APC, Gen Buhari camp strongly believes that if he could get 11million votes when he ran under the platform of one of the parties that merged, CPC, then winning the 2015 election is very much possible.

The party parades prominent men who are interested in the presidential primaries and some pundits are already predicting another crisis after the presidential candidate of the party might emerged.

Speaking with some journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, one of Buhari's lieutenants who does not want his name in print for tactical reasons disclosed that as soon as the on-going consultations are over, the former military leader would throw his hat into the ring.

"General Muhammadu Buhari has been making consultations with stakeholders cutting across all the divides over next year's general elections. Those he has been meeting include politicians, both within and outside the APC, religious leaders, opinion leaders, youths and market women in every state of the federation and the feelers we are getting are encouraging.

"We are rounding off with the consultations and within the next few days, General Buhari would publicly declare for the race and it is our hope that he would not only emerge the presidential candidate of APC but would eventually be elected come February 2015."

He added with confidence: "If General Buhari declares today, that is where our people would go."

AT LAST: Jonathan Begs Obasanjo to Help Tackle Boko Haram

It started like a big joke, but today Boko Haram has become a monster that is seen as more powerful and well motivated than the Nigerian military,I observed. How did we get to this sorry state?

Anyway, there is still hope. After realizing that Boko Haram has started taking over Nigerian villages and towns in broad daylight, President Goodluck Jonathan invited ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo to a meeting in Aso Rock on Wednesday where they discussed the nation's security challenge and how to help.

Obasanjo told in Abeokuta on his return from Abuja that the meeting was purely on security matters:
"Yes, I can confirm that I met with Mr. President on his invitation. In fact, he had wanted to come down to Abeokuta, but as a sign of respect to the Office of the President, I had to go. We had discussion on the country's security issues and that is all."

The former president said he would continue to make himself available on national issues in the interest of peace and progress of the entire country.

On the recurrent Eggon/Fulani crisis in Nasarawa, Obasanjo called on government of Benue and Nasarawa to ensure that peace was restored to the warring communities, as it is their responsibility to do so.

In his words, "There is no way such will not happen, but the two state governments should come up with lasting solutions. The farmers would want their crops to be protected, while the cattle men will also want their cattles to feed. So, the government should fashion out peaceful means to end the crisis."

Obasanjo has promised to help end the Boko Haram madness if the Presidency won't sabotage his efforts.

No, We Can't Trust Ribadu; PDP Governors Battle Presidency

Barely 24 hours to the screening of aspirants seeking to contest for the Adamawa governorship election on the platform of the PDP, a conflict of interest appears to have emerged at the national level of the party.

Two power blocs — the Presidency and PDP Governors' Forum — are divided over the seeming moves by the Presidency to ensure the emergence of former EFCC chairman, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who was reportedly drafted into the race by the principal private secretary to the president, Ambassador Hassan Tukur.

This is even as the party's NWC is said to have been split over the issue of waiver for Ribadu, Buba Marwa and Markus Gundiri who all defected to the PDP recently.

As the development unfolded last night, President Goodluck Jonathan was said to have summoned a caucus of leaders of the party to a crucial meeting where the issue of waiver for Ribadu and others was discussed.

The meeting reportedly had in attendance national chairman of PDP Adamu Muazu, deputy Uche Secondus, Senate president David Mark as well as governors Godswill Akpabio and Ibrahim Shehu Shema of Akwa Ibom and Katsina respectively. Hassan Tukur was also at the meeting which might likely set the tone for today's NWC meeting where the propriety or otherwise of waiver would be discussed.

A source close to the meeting told Leadership that President Jonathan summoned the meeting as a result of the position of the PDP governors who appeared to have opposed the candidature of Ribadu.

PDP governors had on Monday reportedly met at the residence of one of them where the issue of Adamawa governorship election was discussed and a resolution passed that Ribadu should be stopped if PDP wanted to win the October governorship poll.

One of the governors told Leadership in confidence that they had "reservations about the Ribadu question" in the governorship contest in Adamawa State even as they chided the president's PPS (Tukur) for the move.

The governor said: "It is not ideal for the man (Nuhu Ribadu) to come close to us at all. We still don't know why Hassan Tukur is insisting on the man. We can't trust him for anything. Look at the auditing job given to him concerning the NNPC? Do you know the problem that report caused this government?

"Before Ribadu submitted the report, he had leaked it to all the embassies in the country. Will it not be treacherous to have such a man close to the government he has denounced and condemned in the past?

"Adamawa is Adamawa but the PDP's chances in any election are of essence to us all because, if we win, the lesser job is for us in Adamawa and the entire north-east for the PDP.

"So we were amazed to discover that Hassan Tukur drafted in Ribadu and this is causing problem especially when the president's name is being bandied all around; so we resolved that the president must be alerted to the dangers of the move because Ribadu could be playing an APC script whereby he would return to his party after using the platform of the PDP to achieve his aim.

"All we are saying is, Ribadu is the least qualified of all the aspirants; what Hassan Tukur has done is a great set back for the PDP and that is why we have to address it squarely."

Boko Haram Is Just Messing Up Nigeria Cheaply

*APC Says Territorial Claims By The Terrorists Is A National Embarrassment
The All Progressives Congress has described as a national embarrassment, the increasing seizure of Nigerian towns by the terrorist group Boko Haram and the reported fleeing of 480 Nigerian soldiers to Cameroon during an attack on a military base in Gamboru-Ngala on Monday.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party called on President Goodluck Jonathan to urgently address the worsening security situation in the northern part of the country before it's too late.
It said in the face of the biggest threat to Nigeria's unity and territorial integrity since the country's civil war, Jonathan must put partisanship aside and rally the nation against Boko Haram, which seems to be getting bolder and stronger, to the extent of hoisting its flag over parts of the nation's territory.

APC also restated its call for an urgent national stakeholders' conference on security that will cut across party lines. It also pledged support for any sincere effort by the Federal Government to end the insurgency.

As a first step, the party said President Jonathan should halt the illegal electioneering campaign by his Ministers, appointees, supporters, saying Nigeria must survive as a nation before any party or individual can rule over it.

My Wife Used Juju to Make Me Marry Her ––Husband Reveals

Some marriages these days is all about deceit and serious tension. A woman has appealed to an Ibadan court to dissolve her 8-year-old marriage, because her husband, Lukman Aguntasoolo left her for his first wife.

The woman, Rianat Aguntasoolo, told the Grade C customary court at Agodi-Gate that Lukman does not carry out his responsibilities as the head of the house.

She said, "There is always trouble in our home because we fight nearly everyday. He has abandoned me for his first wife. Lukman doesn't cater for me and our children. The moment I challenged him for not performing his duties at home he began to accuse me of committing adultery. He would go as far as checking my belongings and spying on me all the time."

But in his response, Lukman revealed that his wife's children did not belong to him...
He accused her of sleeping around. He claimed that his wife had been invlolved in an extral marital affairs with an Alfa who rented her an apartment before he met her.

"I later opened a shop for her. I thought Rianat was going to change from her old ways but she rather became worse. She would go out and come home late in the night. Rianat is promiscuous, I don't want her as my wife any longer," he said.

Lukman accused her of using diabolic means to marry him, after he allegedly found devilish materials (juju) in her wardrobe which he brought as evidence to the court.

The court concluded that the case between the couple was a complicated one, and called for DNA test to be conducted in order to determine the father of the children.

The court president, Chief Amusa Makinde, adjourned the case till 27 August.

Shan George:
Shan first got married as a teenager but left the marriage after giving birth to two boys. She later married a US-based guy, Tony Nwosisi, but she later found out that the man was married to another woman who had given him children at the time of his marriage to Shan, so she decided to quit the marriage for good.

Finally, Ebola Has Been Successfully Contained In Nigeria

Kudos to Lagos State government for taking this matter seriously and doing the needful. After weeks of fear and apprehension, the FG has announced the containment of the dreaded Ebola Virus. Minister for Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu made the statement during a media briefing on Tuesday.

Read the full statement Below:
Today is the 38th day since the Ebola Virus Disease was imported into Nigeria by a Liberian-American.
As of today, 26th August, 2014, Nigeria has had thirteen (13) cases of EVD including the index case.
Of these thirteen (13), five (5), including the index case unfortunately did not survive the disease and are now late.

However, seven (7) of the infected persons were successfully managed at the Isolation ward in Lagos and have been discharged home.

Two (2) of treated patients, a male doctor and a female nurse were discharged yesterday evening, 25th August, 2014 having satisfied the criteria for discharge.

As I speak to you, Nigeria has only one confirmed case of Ebola...
It's a secondary contact of late Mr. Patrick Sawyer's and spouse of one of the physicians who participated in the management of the index case. She is stable but still on treatment at the Isolation ward in Lagos.

So far, all the reported cases of the EVD in Nigeria have their root in the index case, the late Mr. Patrick Sawyer. This is an indication that, thus far, Nigeria has contained the disease outbreak.

I wish to reassure Nigerians and indeed the global community that the Government shall remain vigilant and will not relent as Government continues to work with her partners to ensure that the disease is kept out of the country.

UPDATE: Three More PDP Governors Set To Decamp To APC

Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has revealed that three governors from the PDP are set to join the leading National opposition party, that All Progressive Congress (APC).

Two of the governors to join the opposition are from the North. The other one is from the South, he said and that their move will happen in September.
Wamakko said: "We met here to first and foremost put a functional zonal office and other offices to fill the gap and to hold zonal rallies to kick start our party's victory stride by 2015.
"As I am talking to you now, three PDP governors are set to join the APC between now and the end of September. Two of the governors are from the North while the third one is from the South."

Wamakko made the revelations in Kaduna last night for the APC Northwest caucus meeting to strategise with a view to taking over power from the PDP in 2015.

When asked to comment on allegations that he has an anointed candidate to take over from him, the governor said: "Only God makes leaders, I cannot tell you who will succeed me in Sokoto State."

On the defection of former EFCC chairman, Nuhu Ribadu from the APC to the PDP, he declined comment on the issues because, according to him, Ribadu is a man of his own who can take decisions for himself.

The Incredible Lifestyle of The Entertainer, Yinka Ayefele

It is not every day you get to meet somebody who, despite his 'challenges', has done enough for himself. So it would be right to say that Yinka Ayefele is indeed an icon who didn't only struggle to make something out of what life has left him with, but has helped others to achieve their goals as well.

Florence Amagiya of Vanguard, present to you an entertainer, an icon and a sensational singer. Enjoy...

Yinka Ayefele
Sensational singer and entertainer, Yinka Ayefele needs no introduction to many Nigerians especially to those in the western part of the country. Ayefele is considered to be one of the best Juju singers in the West, even though he became handicapped due to a fatal motor accident. He hails from Ekiti state, south western part of Nigeria. He is the first born of his parents, born in 1968. Ayefele completed his Primary and Secondary education at Ipoti-Ekiti in Ondo state. He went further to Ondo state College of arts from where he got a diploma.

Ayefele worked as a broadcast journalist before venturing into music. He began his career as a freelance journalist with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria {FRCN}, Ibadan, Nigeria and later joined Radio Nigeria in 1990 or thereabout.

His music career did not begin until he suffered the fatal accident that nearly claimed his life in 1997. Although Ayefele has been confined to a wheel chair after a spinal cord injury, it didn't stop him from developing his music talents and went ahead to become a household name.

Yinka Ayefele's songs are dynamic in nature. His songs are a blend of Gospel, Juju, Fuji and sometimes Makosa. His his first album was titled Bitter experience.

The album, Bitter experience, was said to have motivated his second album – Sweet experience. He turned his ordeals to success within few years and soared higher as the years went by. He remains the most sought-after entertainer at parties. And he charges as much as N5-6m per event depending on the location. He charges 2.5 million naira for events in Lagos and the environs and five to six million naira for events in Abuja, depending the time of the year. Ayefele is booked all round the year and has more than eight events per mouth. He charges about $10,000 for events abroad.

Properties
The sensational singer has a huge office complex, Yinka Ayefele's Music House, which houses his office, studio, and other businesses. The Music House cost him roughly N150m to complete. He has another magnificent Penthouse building which caught fire only this August, but was put out before any damage could be done. The Penthouse is his second house in Ibadan apart from his Music House. The Penthouse is worth over 150 million naira.

Ayefele has a magnificent 32-room hotel in Ibadan called "the Downtown hotel." He also has a world class house in his home town. He has succeeded in building a befitting apartment for his dad and another one for his mum which cost millions of naira.

Foundation
Ayefele has a foundation for spinal cord injuries. He has helped a lot of people get access to treatment and provided wheel chairs as well. He also has a scholarship scheme as he is sending a lot of impoverished children to school. In his own village, he has built and set up a computer school in his Alma Mater. His workers and band members are not left out on his charitable lifestyle as he has succeeded in empowering them to the extent that more than 50% of his workers have built their own houses. He shares the money 'sprayed' on him during his shows with his band members at the ratio of 2-8, taking the lesser part.

Cars, clothes and perfumes
Yinka Ayefele is a car frk. Hs he has a lot of cars in his , arage mostly SUVs. He has a black Ford Explorer, 2014, worth 14 million naira. He also has a Land Cruiser worth 12 million naira and other cars too numerous to mention. Ayefele spends a lot of money on clothes and expensive perfumes.

This Is Why Nigeria Can Never Be Better

It is not a curse but if we continue in this mentality, then Nigeria will remain a crazy country where people wont be able to send their children to school without stealing government money, where the gap between the rich and the millions who are poor in Nigeria will continue to wide.

In countries where they are making progress, the leaders don't see themselves as superior to another human as all are treated equally. If a President or Governor commits a crime, the Attorney-General of the country do not waste time to order for the arrest of such top government official, no matter his position.

But here, once a man is elected or appointed into any office, he begins to act like a god. Nigerians, wake up!

Obasanjo Cries Out: the Economy Today is Worse than Abacha

The economy is so bad today. The only ones living large are those stealing government money with impunity:

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday drew similarities between the present state of the economy and the way it was during the regime of General Sani Abacha, saying the current situation has wiped out the middle class.

Obasanjo said a distress message he received from a Nigerian requesting financial assistance clearly indicated that the middle-class has been destroyed. The former president, who was addressing a group of traders who visited him in Abeokuta on Sunday, read out the distress message sent to him by SMS.
"I told him (sender of the message) we experienced this at the time of Abacha, the middle class was completely destroyed", Obasanjo said.
The former president also told his guests about a Senior Military personnel who could not afford a new car, saying that was a big surprise to him. He said: "I was surprised the day a Colonel in the Army came to me complaining that he and his family could not afford to buy a car (without stealing government money)."

Obasanjo also cited a medical doctor's family that had to relocate outside the country to survive. "A friend, Dr. Okoro, was a medical doctor, his wife was also a medical doctor and they have a daughter who is also a medical doctor, but they could not afford a new car, and had to go to Saudi Arabia", he said.

But he said the situation did not change his conviction that tough times do not last forever, and when tough times come, tough people get going.

On the way forward, he said Nigerians have to be alert and vigilant, adding, "To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed, if we will get ourselves out of the morals we find ourselves in, it has to be done by each and every one of us. We all have contributions to make and should not leave our responsibilities for others. If we fail to participate in things that are meaningfully positive for this country, we will all become victims".

He said as far as the next political dispensation is concerned, he could not decide yet.
"As for me, we don't know where we are going yet, may God show us the way to take this country and make it great. For me, I understand and I see the way, I will tell you, I pray that God will show me the way, may God show you the way."

My Husband Left Me Just After One Month of Our Marriage ––Comedian Princess

Popular comediene Princess [real name Damilola Adekoya] has opened up on how her marriage ended in less than a month. She told Punch that the marriage was already over within a few days after the wedding but that she decided to keep a secret in order to avoid the shame. How sad!

You didn't say what was wrong with you that you had to be hospitalised?
But you already know. We thank the Lord. The most important thing is that I am alive and better. I appreciate life more. But this one you are asking, e no reach make I sick? After my husband left after our wedding, was it not enough reason for me to be sick? Ah! The Lord is our strength.

Were you shocked with the kind of publicity it generated?
I was shocked! People called me from all parts of the world including China. Some people cried while some people felt happy. Some guys said they were happy my marriage ended. Some said they were not happy that I even married the guy. Some said I looked older than him. Some said my marriage shouldn't have ended just like that. People talked and talked. But the only time you know your marriage is successful is when you live with your partner and God calls one of you home. Marriage of 30 years can still break up. It is a bad thing for a marriage to breakup. So you can imagine the unhappiness the parties involved would be going through. Nobody is happy when his/her marriage ends. Some people see me outside and ask, 'your marriage has ended, how do you feel?' I will answer them that I am jumping up or how else do they expect me to feel? Nonsense! A comedian once said that 'complete' and 'finish' appear to have the same meaning but they are not the same. If you marry the right person, you are complete but if you marry the wrong person, you are finished.

Were you in love with him in the first place?
I got married to somebody who I was in love with. At that time, he also said he loved me. Unfortunately, the marriage ended too soon.

Why did it end so soon?
It was due to irreconcilable differences. It is not a thing of joy. I don't think we should celebrate sadness and bad news. We should be more sensitive. No marriage should end but peradventure it does, don't make a mockery of that person. You are not even mocking the person, you are mocking God.

Are you giving it another shot?
No! Me ke? Let us struggle first and make some money. In any case, I think I should marry a Chinese or an Indian. If many people agree that I should marry a Chinese, then I will go ahead. But a Japanese might be better. Japanese products are strong and reliable.

Is your ex-husband still your friend?
I don't think you should call him my 'ex-husband' because we were together for less than one month. An ex- husband is somebody you marry and after three years or more, you separate. Anyway, I don't know where he is. We have moved on.

Wasn't the break-up your fault?
No. it wasn't my fault. I can't really say it was his fault too. It was just irreconcilable differences. We met and we were in love and we quickly got married. Maybe we got married too quickly but I have seen people who got married a month after they met and the marriage lasted. Our own didn't work out. There is no need to apportion blame.

Student Shot Dead By Lecturer For Hugging His Girlfriend

How can you kill your fellow man because of a woman? The man stupid! A senior lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, College of Education, Agbor, who shot a male student of the institution for giving his girlfriend a hug has been apprehended by men of the Nigeria Police in Agbor, Delta State.

The lecturer escaped from the scene after he shot the student at close range for "hugging his girlfriend" during a party in a bar at Alihami Community.
Sources at the bar said the lecturer was infuriated when the student walked into the party and hugged the lady who is also a female student of the same department and before he could sit down, the lecturer ran into his car, brought out a gun, shot the student and released a volley of gun shots into the air before escaping from the bar...

The sound of the gun, according to Leadership, attracted men of the Nigeria Police, Agbor Division who were on patrol of the area. They intervened and managed to bring the situation under control.

Meanwhile, sources at the police divisional headquarters in Agbor confirmed the arrest of the lecturer and the gun he used to perpetrate the act has been recovered.

All things being equal, the stupid lover-man lecturer would be charged to court at the end of investigation.

The Plight Of People With Physical Disability In Nigeria

As a physically-challenged person, I have over the years observed that much is not being done to make life comfortable for persons with physical disability. This is probably due to the fact that we are a minority, and are therefore not given due consideration when key decisions are being taken by those in positions of authority.

Although our plight is glaring, yet only few persons have taken steps aimed at making life more comfortable for us - the best others have done is to sympathize with us. Although their sympathy is appreciated, that is actually not what we need. What we would have preferred them to do is to translate those sympathy into actions which could help address some of the challenges we face in our daily living.
The biggest challenge to being physically disabled is the stigma attached to it. A lot of people still do not see persons with disability as being able to contribute meaningfully to the development of the society. Some still hold on to the belief that a person's disability is as a result of a curse upon him, or as a consequence of his many sins or the sins of his forefathers. Such beliefs has made persons with disability to be treated with contempt, and seen as inferior in the society.

A similar challenge to that is the fact that some people see persons with physical disability as beggars. Probably, due to some disabled destitute that some had seen in their neighbourhood (who would possibly not be there if the society had done the right things), they have generalized this, and now consider anybody with a disability as a beggar. This has made some people not to give the disabled the needed attention when approached. For instance, there was a day I went to a Cybercafe; when I stepped in, I greeted the lady in charge and told her that I want to browse for one hour. She did not even care to listen to what I said because( judging from the look on her face on sighting me) she had thought that I was there to beg for money. It was after she had attended to two other customers, who came in after me, and saw that I was still standing where I was that she then looked at me with contempt and said: "what do you want?"

Also, the plight of people with physical disability has been made worse as a result of them not being considered when basic infrastructures and amenities are being provided. For example, a person on wheel chair living in Nigeria today, will find it difficult to gain entrance into most Nigerian banks. This is because provisions has not been made by the banks for such people. Also, many buildings have been constructed without ramps, and the same goes for the way some roads are constructed, which are not disabled-friendly. It takes real guts for a person with disability to make use of commercial buses in Nigeria, as many drivers and conductors are not blessed with the kind of patience that would make them understand that such a person cannot jump in and out of the bus like every other commuter. Those are just few examples of how the society has failed, and is still failing, in considering the plight of the disabled when amenities are being put in place and services are being rendered.

Moreover, the unemployed status of many physically-challenged persons has not helped matters, in fact, it has only compounded the already terrible situation they found themselves in. For those who were lucky to get educated, getting a job has always been a problem. Many private organizations would prefer to employ an able-bodied applicant even if the job in question does not require much physical activity. Most of the uneducated ones who possibly learnt a trade do not have the money to start-up what they learnt, while many did not even get the needed support to either learn a trade or get educated. Such are the isolated ones, who sooner than later become the destitute on the streets.

As pathetic as the situation of things seem for persons with physical disability, things can change for the better if the society will change their perception of persons with disability and see them as an integral part of the society. People must know that disability is not a curse, and that persons with disability are not destined to be beggars; and that starts with the parents and relatives of disabled persons. They should not isolate them, rather, they should show them the much needed love and give them the required support.

Individuals, government, and corporate organizations should endeavour to always put disabled persons into consideration when facilities and infrastructures are being put in place.

Furthermore, it would go a long way in helping the plight of persons with disability if assistance is given in the provision of needed aids and equipments. Although some NGOs and corporate organizations have been helping in this regard (which we are really grateful for), we however plead for more to be done as most disabled persons cannot afford the cost of these aids.

As regards the employment of the disabled, we plead for a level playing field in recruitment processes, especially in private organizations. It would also go a long way in getting disabled persons employed if the capital to start-up businesses can be provided for them with little or no interest attached to it. The government should also put modalities in place to rehabilitate the disabled destitute and reintegrate them into the society.

It would however be unfair of me if I fail to give kudos to the Lagos State government that has taken the bull by the horn by putting the Lagos State Special People's law in place, which seeks to uphold the rights of all persons living with any form of disability in Lagos State. I enjoin other states to take a cue from this, and put similar laws in place in their states. However, it is important to state that it is not just about putting the law in place, but enforcing it, that will bring about a better life for persons with disabilities.

Finally, the government should create a working forum, or fora, as the case may be, where they will regularly meet with the disabled in order to know what they need and how to make life more comfortable for them, as it is only a person who wears the shoe that knows where it pinches.

I want President Jonathan to Lose 2015 Election –Police Officer

A policeman currently serving under the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Yobe State has called for the change of the leadership of Nigeria from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), this is according to a report by Daily Trust.

Speaking with the Voice of America, Hausa Service, monitored in Abuja on Tuesday, the policeman who did not give his name said he was happy that the APC won the Osun governorship election on Saturday.

The policeman who decried the lack of prompt payment of their monthly allowances said they are tired of the PDP-led government which does not take proper care of security personnel in the country.
"I'm a security man. I'm happy with the way APC won the election. Frankly speaking, PDP has weakened the status of security agencies," he said, adding that "Since we went to Yobe, six months ago, it was only day before yesterday that they gave us one month allowance, and they're supposed to be giving us N15,000 every month. I went there under special duties of JTF. I'm a policeman.
"It's not appointing a new Inspector-General that is our problem; our problem is that they don't take care of security men in the whole country. We want change of leadership so that the new leaders will take care of security personnel. We can't be battling with hunger at the same time with our families."

The embittered policeman said although people say Nigerian politicians are birds of the same feather, he sees a bit a difference from those in APC and he believes they will perform better to prove a point when elected.

"Yes, it's true, but we have to see other politicians' actions and policies too. We can't continue with this crop of leaders. PDP has been ruling for more than 10 years now."

2015: Speaker Tambuwal In Secret Meeting With Obasanjo

The Speaker of House of Reps, Aminu Tambuwal, held a secret meeting with President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Hilltop home in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State, on Tuesday as the 2015 battle gathers momentum.

Tambuwal, who arrived at the ex-president's residence around 5.30pm, left around 6.18pm. It was gathered that the visit might not be unconnected with the speaker's 2015 political ambition. It is strongly believed that the Speaker is nursing a presidential ambition.

However, his media aide, Mr. Imam Imam, said Tambuwal and Obasanjo only rubbed minds on the state of the nation and how to move it forward.

He said, "You know Baba is father to all in the country. The visit was a consultation. It is about rubbing minds on how to move the country forward and make Nigeria better."

Asked whether the visit was in connection with Tambuwal's rumoured presidential ambition in 2015, Imam said he could not confirm that because it was a closed door meeting between Tambuwal and Obasanjo.

He said, "I can't say anything on that because it was a closed door meeting. About the presidential ambition, that also I cannot comment on. Let's wait till 2015 and then we will address that."
