UPDATE: Speaker Tambuwal has been Tear Gassed by Police

The situation at National Assembly is shameful. Members have overpowered the Police, some are jumping high fences and barricades to gain access into the chamber with Speaker Tambuwal.

Sources told us that two aides of the speaker fainted at the scene as a result of the tear gas on them but APC members and some PDP men loyal to Speaker Aminu Tambuwal have managed to overpower the police and soldiers and they have gained access with the Speaker. Democracy!
